I think I'm flattered

We had a lazy weekend. Shopped for new shoes and coat for Mr. Trent. Got comics; did some cleaning. Watched a couple movies at home & went out to dinner a couple times. Normal weekend for the two of us.

So Sunday, I cajole Trent into going out to Cheesecake Factory (not a lot of cajoling needed to get Mr. Never-met-a-cake-I-didn't-like to go there). We were having a nice meal & doing some people watching & talking about the completely silly movie we'd just watched ("28 Weeks Later" First half hour was good, then it just fell apart) when this forty-something woman came up to our table and asked:

"Are you guys in a band?"

I look pretty much the same as that little cartoon of me in the upper left corner except my beard is a little darker--hey! it grows darker sometimes ;-) Trent still looks pretty much like this:

I know, when she asked I just stared at her. Trent, said without missing a beat: "No, And I'm completely tone deaf."

She said, "Well, I have a teen age son & I just had to ask. I didn't want to get home and have him say, 'why didn't you ask them.'"

I kind of wanted to ask her what band she though we were in (Pansy Division ;-) but I didn't want to prolong the conversation. As soon as she's gone, Trent said, "It's been a long time since someone asked me that!"

I just stared at him. No one has EVER asked me that before!

What a hoot. Maybe we should start a band; you don't have to be able to sing anymore with all the filters and computer crap they have in the studio! :-)
